Jan 27th Covid-19 Travel update

Dear traveler, the Peruvian Government has taken the following measures to fight COVID-19:

Travelers must arrive in Peru with a negative result from a COVID-19 molecular test (PCR). The results of the tests must be issued no more than 72 hours before their flight. Also, an affidavit must be completed by clicking here.

All the arrivals from abroad must comply with a mandatory 14-day quarantine at their home, temporary isolation center, or accommodation. After the sixth day of the quarantine, travelers can carry out a second molecular test (PCR) that confirms that they do not have coronavirus to go ahead with their trip.

The entry of non-resident travelers from Europe, South Africa, and/or Brazil or who have made stopovers in said places is suspended until February 28, 2021.

High alert level: The curfew is maintained from 21:00 to 04:00 in La Libertad, Lambayeque, Loreto, Madre de Dios, Piura, San Martín and Ucayali, with vehicle restrictions on Sundays.

Very high alert level: In Amazonas, Arequipa, Ayacucho, Cajamarca, Cusco, Moquegua, Puno, Tacna and Tumbes, the curfew is from 20:00 to 04:00, with vehicle restriction on Saturdays and Sundays.

Extreme alert level: in Lima, Ancash, Apurimac, Callao, Huancavelica, Huanuco, Ica, Junin, and Pasco people are allowed to go out 1 hour per day from 06:00 to 18:00 and with vehicular restriction all days.

These measures will run from January 31 to February 14. The National State of Emergency is in force until February 28, 2021.

The use of a mask is mandatory throughout the country, and people are reminded of the importance of handwashing and maintaining social distance
